How to Configure Sub-Affiliate Commission

What is a Sub-Affiliate

Sub-Affiliate’s are affiliates who have registered after being referred by an existing affiliate, commonly known as the ‘Parent’ affiliato. They are recruited from ‘Sub-Affiliate Campaignsand the Parent earns commission based on the earnings of a Sub-Affiliate within a payment period.

In most cases a Sub-Affiliate will not be aware that their activity is generating commission for a Parent Affiliate. Any commission that the Sub-Affiliate generates for their Parent will be paid in addition to the Sub-Affiliatesown commission. The AFS does not make a deduction from the Sub-Affiliate to pay the Parent.

By default the AFS supports Sub-Affiliate programs up to 5 levels with the Parent acting as Level 1. In practice a 5 level program works as follows:

The diagram below provides an illustrative example of a multi-level Sub-Affiliate model:

How Sub-Affiliate Commission Works

Sub-Affiliate commission is calculated as a percentage of the commission that a referred affiliate earns through their trader campaigns during the payment period. It is not calculated on a sub-affiliate’s revenue, deposits or referrals.

The below example uses the commission plan in the screenshot above.

At the end of the month the Parent Affiliate and their Sub-Affiliates finished on the following earnings from their trader campaigns:

  • Parent Affiliate A
£100
  • Affiliate B (Sub-Affiliate Level 2)
£200
  • Affiliate C (Sub-Affiliate Level 3)
£300
  • Affiliate D (Sub-Affiliate Level 4)
£100
  • Affiliate E (Sub-Affiliate Level 5)
£1000

Then the parent affiliate would earn the following commission from each sub-affiliate:

  • Affiliate B (Sub Affiliate Level 2)
10% of £200 = £20
  • Affiliate C (Sub Affiliate Level 3)
5% of £300 = £15
  • Affiliate D (Sub Affiliate Level 4)
2% of £100 = £2
  • Affiliate E (Sub Affiliate Level 5)
1% of £1000 = £10

This means that the affiliates total earnings for the month is £147

£100 (generated from player activity) + £47 (generated from Sub-Affiliate)

Please note that the £47 generated from Sub-Affiliates is paid in addition to each individual’s commission for that month. The AFS does not make a deduction from the Sub-Affiliates to pay the Parent.
